Built for Powerful Jigging
The 8000PG is geared specifically for jigging, delivering controlled, powerful winding when you’re working heavy metal deep. Infinity Drive teams up with the X-Ship system to reduce handle rotation torque by around 30%, making it easier to turn the handle — even under serious load.Next-Level Drag Control
Heat Sink Drag enhances the existing X-Tough Drag and Rigid Support Drag system by dissipating heat build-up by approximately 50%. An insulation sheet also reduces heat transfer to the spool, helping maintain smooth, consistent drag pressure during drawn-out battles.Serious Saltwater Protection
With X-Protect sealing and a labyrinth structure achieving IPX8-rated waterproofing, this reel is purpose-built for harsh saltwater conditions. The upgraded line roller is ten times more durable than previous designs, giving you extra confidence when things get wild offshore.Hagane Strength Meets Silky Smooth
Cold forged Hagane Gears and a rigid Hagane Body deliver the strength needed to tackle powerful reef species, while Silent Drive and 13+1 SA-RB bearings keep everything running beautifully smooth. With up to 25kg of drag power, you’ve got the stopping power to match the muscle!Dialled for Heavy Aussie Action
Ideal for snapper, kingfish, mackerel, reef fishing, jigging, popping and stickbaiting, the 8000PG pairs perfectly with a 6’–7’6” heavy 50–80lb rod and 60–80lb line. Built for experienced anglers who know what a proper hook-up feels like — and want gear that keeps up!When you’re chasing hard-fighting fish in unforgiving country, the Stella SWC 8000PG is ready to go all in. Built tough, smooth as silk and absolutely up for the fight!

FAQs
Is the Shimano Stella worth it?
Yes. The Stella SWC is Shimano’s premium saltwater reel, offering exceptionally smooth drag, high durability, and precise engineering. It’s ideal for serious fishos targeting large pelagic species and offshore game fish.
Are Shimano Stella reels left or right handed?
Shimano Stella reels are interchangeable — you can switch the handle from left to right hand depending on your preference. This makes them versatile for both left- and right-handed anglers.
What is the difference between Stella SWC and SWD?
The SWC is designed for casting applications, offering high-speed retrieve and smooth performance, while the SWD is optimized for deep-water trolling and heavy drag applications. Both share Shimano’s premium build quality, but the intended fishing style differs.
What makes the 8000 PG size ideal for me?
With a 4.9:1 gear ratio and 28kg drag, the 8000 PG (Power Gear) offers more cranking power, ideal for deep jigging, heavy trolling, or battling GTs and tuna where torque is more important than speed.
