Surf fishing is a very unique form of our favourite pastime that requires extremely specialised equipment. Surf rods are known for being much longer than most other styles of fishing rod, measuring between 10 foot, perfect for light bream and Dart fishing, all the way up to 13’6” for chasing Jewfish and Tailor. Power is another characteristic surf rods are known for, they must be able to withstand casting large lures and weights into the turbulent water and be able to handle large fish. They also come with extended grip handles for easy double handed casting.
