Halco
The beginning of the Halco Tackle story takes us back to 1950, when Hal Cooper, an engineer by profession, started building metal lures and assorted fishing rigs in his back shed in Mosman Park, Western Australia. Hal scaled up the business to a successful fishing tackle manufacturing company, until Neil Patrick purchased Halco in 1980, and began a program of aggressive innovation and expansion. In late 2001, Neil’s son Ben purchased Halco and has continued down the same path of extensive lure innovation and expansion. Halco is an Australian owned and operated business based in Fremantle, Western Australia, in a purpose-built facility located on the edge of the Indian ocean. All the designing, prototyping and initial testing stages take place right here. Halco manufactures all lures in their own state of the art facility in Batam, Indonesia.
