Caravan Water Tanks & Plumbing Fittings
Modern caravans and RVs are thankfully fitted with their own, albeit compact, bathrooms that mean you no longer have to venture through the caravan park or out to a bush each time you need to relieve yourself. Though smaller than the bathroom you are likely used to at home, you will normally still have access to a toilet, sink and shower that all requires pipes and fittings to operate efficiently. At BCF, we have a range of caravan plumbing fittings from Aussie Traveller, AL-KO and Camec that are sure to keep things in working order or help with any repairs.
Additionally, we stock caravan water tanks and cleaning solutions so that you can access fresh, clean water when you need it.
Should you keep caravan water tanks full?
Answering the question about whether a caravan water tank should always remain full is a difficult one to answer with everyone's use of water while travelling on the road is going to be different. At BCF, our range of caravan water tanks vary in size, starting from 62L and can be used for fresh or greywater. If your intention is to carry litres upon litres of fresh water, it is recommended that you try and keep the tank as full as possible so as to avoid letting in any air that can encourage the growth of mould, mildew and algae. When the tank needs a clean, check out our Tank Cleen solution that treats, cleans, and deodorises up to 182L.
Caravan Plumbing Fittings
Caravan plumbing fittings are an essential item for any plumbing system within your RV or motorhome as they route pipes to the correct destination and help reduce any spills when connecting or disconnecting hoses. Serving a variety of purposes, our range of fittings at BCF includes tap connectors, end stops, adaptors, elbow and straight connectors, reducers, hose clamps, converters, valves and more. Visit your local store to see the full range.
Made from a variety of materials including steel, plastic and polyethylene, each fitting is durable and capable of withstanding the levels of water pressure expected from a caravan plumbing system. You will also find that each plumbing fitting is rust-resistant (so you don't have to worry about corrosion), and are universal (so they can fit to any hose or component) as long as you've got the right size.
