Big Power, Smooth Control
Infinity Drive works with X-Ship to deliver lightweight yet incredibly powerful winding, reducing internal resistance so you can stay in control under extreme load. Even when a fish is digging deep, the handle stays smooth and responsive.Drag Performance Under Fire
The upgraded Heat Sink Drag blocks heat transfer to the spool, helping maintain consistent drag performance during long, brutal fights. Paired with X-Tough Drag, you get excellent heat resistance and durability when the pressure is right on.Serious Saltwater Armour
With X-Protect and X-Shield technology delivering an IPX8 water resistance rating, the 18000HG is purpose-built for harsh bluewater conditions. Anti-rust ball bearings keep everything running smoothly, even after repeat offshore sessions.Hagane Strength You Can Trust
The aluminium Hagane Body provides a rigid, super tough outer shell, while the cold forged Hagane Gear is built to handle extreme loads. Silent Drive refines every movement, and the one-piece bail reduces friction for quicker, more efficient line pickup.Built for Trophy Fish
Ideal for yellowfin tuna, giant trevally, popping and stickbaiting, the 18000HG pairs perfectly with a 7’–8’6” PE6–PE10 rod and 80–100lb line. Designed for experienced anglers chasing bucket-list fish in serious conditions — this is next-level gear! When it’s time to cast big lures and battle proper offshore brutes, the Stella SWC 18000HG is ready to stand tall. Tough, refined and built to handle absolute chaos — how good!

FAQs
Is the Shimano Stella worth it?
Yes. The Stella SWC is Shimano’s premium saltwater reel, offering exceptionally smooth drag, high durability, and precise engineering. It’s ideal for serious fishos targeting large pelagic species and offshore game fish.
Are Shimano Stella reels left or right handed?
Shimano Stella reels are interchangeable — you can switch the handle from left to right hand depending on your preference. This makes them versatile for both left- and right-handed anglers.
What is the difference between Stella SWC and SWD?
The SWC is designed for casting applications, offering high-speed retrieve and smooth performance, while the SWD is optimized for deep-water trolling and heavy drag applications. Both share Shimano’s premium build quality, but the intended fishing style differs.
What species is the 18000 HG built for?
The 18000 HG size features 5.7:1 gear ratio, 25kg drag, and a 80lb/360yd braid capacity, designed for large offshore pelagics and big game species like marlin, large tuna, and giant GTs.
