Light, Powerful Winding
Infinity Drive works alongside X-Ship to deliver lightweight yet incredibly powerful winding performance. By reducing internal resistance, it keeps handle rotation smooth and controlled — even when you’re putting the heat on a hard-fighting fish.Consistent Drag Under Pressure
The upgraded Heat Sink Drag blocks heat transfer to the spool, helping maintain consistent drag performance during long battles. Combined with X-Tough Drag, you get impressive heat resistance and durability when things really fire up.Serious Saltwater Protection
With X-Protect and X-Shield delivering an IPX8 water resistance rating, this reel is purpose-built for tough saltwater conditions. Anti-rust ball bearings add even more reliability, so you can fish with confidence session after session.Hagane Strength You Can Rely On
The aluminium Hagane Body provides a rigid, super tough outer shell, while the cold forged Hagane Gear ensures long-term strength. Silent Drive keeps everything running beautifully smooth, and the one-piece bail reduces friction for faster line pickup.Built for Casting and Jigging
The 5000HG is designed for both casting and jigging, making it ideal for barramundi, jewfish, snapper and longtail tuna. Pair it with a 7' medium to medium heavy 5–10kg rod and 20–40lb line for a balanced setup that’s built for experienced anglers chasing quality fish! When you want cutting-edge performance wrapped in rock-solid durability, the Stella SWC 5000HG is ready to step up. Is the Shimano Stella worth it?
Yes. The Stella SWC is Shimano’s premium saltwater reel, offering exceptionally smooth drag, high durability, and precise engineering. It’s ideal for serious fishos targeting large pelagic species and offshore game fish.
Are Shimano Stella reels left or right handed?
Shimano Stella reels are interchangeable — you can switch the handle from left to right hand depending on your preference. This makes them versatile for both left- and right-handed anglers.
What is the difference between Stella SWC and SWD?
The SWC is designed for casting applications, offering high-speed retrieve and smooth performance, while the SWD is optimized for deep-water trolling and heavy drag applications. Both share Shimano’s premium build quality, but the intended fishing style differs.
Why choose the Stella 5000 HG?
The 5000 HG is suited for medium inshore or light offshore work, offering high-speed retrieve for poppers and soft plastics targeting kingfish, tailor, and mid-size pelagics.
