And good news: if you pass the motor on, any unexpired warranty can be transferred to the next owner as long as the product is properly re-registered.

Bonus Warranty Conditions

• The dealer must complete and document the official Mercury Marine pre-delivery inspection. Warranty only kicks in once the dealer has correctly registered your outboard.
• All servicing, maintenance, and repairs must be carried out by a factory-authorised Mercury dealer, and logged with Mercury.
• Stick to the recommended service intervals and maintenance schedule from the date of purchase.
• Only use genuine Mercury parts, oils, and lubricants.
• Make sure each service is recorded in your logbook and registered online by your authorised dealer.

Maintenance Schedule

3 months from date of sale or 20 hours for use - whichever occurs first. This post sale inspection will ensure everything is operating as required on your new engine. Even if your engine has only been used for a few hours, it is important to get this inspection done by the due date.

Once a year or every 100 hours of use - whichever occurs first.
