When you start to retrieve the lure, the weights will lock in place back towards the front of the lure. Try pulling the lure very fast through the water, using the rod action. Let it pause slightly and retrieve the slack line. Repeat this process until you have got a solid hook-up.
Note that when the lure stops moving, it is pointing slightly left or right, with the nose slightly down. It is in the ideal position for an immediate and erratic action when ripped. When trolled, this lure will dive down to around 2.5 metres.
