Hit the beach with the littlies

School holidays and sunny days can only mean one thing — it’s time for a beach adventure! Whether you plan on diving beneath the waves with a snorkelling set to explore a world of colour and excitement, prefer setting up the beach shelter in a shady spot where you can relax between sandcastle masterpieces, or use a camp cart to load up all the gear for a full-on day of salty fun – the beach is the ultimate playground! From salty swims to sandy toes and plenty of laughs in between, it’s the perfect way to make memories that’ll last well beyond the holidays.
Take the tackers for a spin on the wet stuff

For plenty of Aussie families, it’s just not the holidays without a bit of boating thrown in for good measure. With epic waterways right across the country, there’s no shortage of sick spots where you and the crew can make a splash. Whether you’re tearing around on a tow tube, exploring your local waterway on a kayak or SUP, or putting the fishing gear to good use (whatever floats your boat), it’s guaranteed fun for the whole family. The best part? It gets the kids off the screens and into the fresh air. BCFing fun is waiting by the bucket load!
Grab the groms for a camping adventure like no other

School holidays make the perfect excuse to pack up the fam and go camping. Whether you’re keeping it classic with a simple pitch-and-go tent, or you’re living the van life, camping is all about escaping the hustle and bustle and getting back to the simple stuff. Think roasting snags over the fire, playing spotlight with the kids, and waking up to the sound of kookaburras – not alarms. It’s swapping screens for starry skies and memories the kids will be talking about for yonks. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you’re out bush, kicking it by the coast, or at the local campground only a stone’s throw from home. The beauty about camping is it’s about slowing down, recharging the batteries, and making sure everyone has plenty of BCFing fun!

Fun with the fam is what the school holidays are all about, and sometimes the fondest memories come from the simplest ideas. A trip to the local park is the perfect chance to let the kids run wild on the play equipment while the grown-ups kick back, have a yarn and sink a few coldies – how good! No day at the park is complete without a good old BBQ, sizzling snags, a few cold drinks – just what you need to keep hunger at bay. Add in a shady spot to relax, a comfy camping chair, and maybe even a cheeky afternoon snooze and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a cracking day.
Make the most of spring these school holidays and leave the iPads at home. With so much to do in the outdoors, the kiddies should have no reason to be chewing up the home data. Get geared up and get out there these school holidays!
