The XTM 3000W Inverter should be used with a battery (or multiple batteries wired in parallel) where the combined total BMS rating is ≥300A.

Does the inverter use power even when nothing is plugged in?
Yes. If the inverter is left ON, it will slowly drain your battery even with no load. Always switch it OFF when not in use to avoid a flat battery.
Are there any special installation or ventilation requirements?
Leave at least 5 cm of space around the inverter and make sure hot air can escape from the installation area so it stays cool and works properly.
Why did my inverter shut down even though my battery looked full?
This usually means the battery or BMS is undersized, the cables are too thin or too long, or the voltage dropped under load. The inverter will shut down to protect itself.
Do I need a fuse between the battery and the inverter?
Yes it is highly recommended. A fuse protects your battery and wiring if there’s a short circuit or fault. The XTM Inverter Universal Wiring Kit (sold separately) includes a prewired fuse.
Can I run multiple appliances at the same time?
Yes, as long as the total power of all appliances combined does not exceed the inverter’s rated wattage. If you exceed it, the inverter will shut down to protect itself.
Is it normal for the inverter to feel hot?
Yes. Inverters generate heat during use, especially at higher loads. This is normal, as long as there is good ventilation and airflow around the unit.
Why does this inverter have cooling fans, and when do they run?
The cooling fan is temperature controlled. It only runs when needed, which reduces noise, saves power, and helps the inverter last longer compared to always‑on fans.
Can I connect the inverter to mains power?
No. This inverter must never be connected to grid power. Connecting mains power to the inverter’s AC outlets will instantly damage the unit and is dangerous.
Why does the inverter show power but the appliance doesn’t work properly?
Some appliances draw more power than shown on the label or have high startup loads. This can cause the inverter to protect itself and shut down.
Why does the inverter spark slightly when connected?
A small spark during first connection is normal and caused by internal components charging.
