How should snow gloves fit?
Although it may seem a straightforward task to pick a pair of winter or snow gloves, an incorrectly fitted pair can lead to freezing hands and numb fingers – something that is not useful for when you're on the slopes or for hand movement in general. A correctly sized glove allows for more dexterity while providing warmth and comfort. Ideally, a snow glove should fit snuggly enough that your palm is completely inside the cuff but there is still a quarter of an inch of fabric at the end of your outstretched fingers that allows movement. You can head instore to try on a pair of snow gloves and find your perfect fit.
What is the point of a neck gaiter?
A neck warmer, otherwise known as a buff or neck gaiter, is a tube of fabric designed to protect your neck and face from strong winds, cold conditions and the burning suns rays. They are pulled over your head with the bottom of the fabric sitting on your shoulders and pulling the top to sit over your nose. You can tighten them by using a tie of some sort (e.g. a hair tie) to bunch the extra material together. Neck gaiters have also been used among hobby fishers as they can protect you against the sun reflection off the water. Sand and snow also reflects ultraviolet rays, making neck warmers a handy tool in both summer and winter conditions.
