Pieces

Pieces means how many separate sections make up the rod blank. Rods can be 1-piece, 2-piece or even more.

• 1-Piece Rods are made from one continuous, solid blank from handle to tip. That gives them maximum structural strength and sensitivity, but makes them harder to transport.
• Multi-Piece Rods are broken down into multiple smaller segments. That makes them highly portable and perfect for travel.
• If you need a travel rod, you'll want to go for a multi-piece setup - but if you want maximum sensitivity, 1-piece rods are your best bet.
