Guide

Guides are the ring shaped fittings along the length of the fishing rod. They control the path of the fishing line from reel to tip. Good guides reduce friction, distribute stress evenly across the rod blank, and give you better casting distance and accuracy. The main parts of a guide are:

• Frame: The structural metal attached to the rod blank.
• Ring: The inner smooth ring that directly touches the line to minimise friction.
• Foot: The extensions of the frame, bound to the rod using threat and sealed with epoxy.
