Excellent rod & reel combo for my 14yr old son. He saved up and bought it himself. Had a little problem with the rod and the staff at the Renmark Sth Aust shop were more than helpful. Great customer service from them. My son still hasn’t caught a cod yet but plenty callop and a few mud marlin.

Brakes fixed!
Thanks to ByronMull's review a few days ago this has turned from a 2* to a 5* review. Being able to get in and adjust the centrifugal brake has been a godsend. The lack of a manual (even online) with this reel is astounding. For those in a similar boat, if you inspect the reel you will find a little black button on the LHS of the reel (top left corner) if you hold this down and rotate the face counter clockwise it will open up the side. Be careful not to lose the spool out of it. Now adjusting the little white "weights" outward to activate, and downwards to deactivate the braking system as per ByronMulls photos.
