The Weber Smoque is designed to make smoking easier, but like any valuable tool, you must look after it and keep it clean. Regular cleaning means better flavour, consistent performance, longer lifespan and safer smoking.

How do I clean it for meal-to-meal maintenance?
Before each cook follow these simple steps to keep your Weber Smoque well maintained:
Use a stainless-steel grill brush to clean the cooking grills.
Remove the grills and clean the grease sheet, pushing any excess grease into the grease funnel and catch.
Remove the grease sheet and funnel, then scrape out the cookbox into the drip pan. Replace the drip pan with a new one.
Replace all internal components back into the cookbox.
Fill the hopper with hardwood pellets, check that your Weber is plugged in and you're good to fire her up and start cooking.
How do I perform a deep clean?
Every so often, your Weber may need a deep clean to keep it working at its best:
Shutdown the Weber, wait for it to completely cool and unplug.
Brush the cooking grills clean and scrape down the inside.
Lift out the cooking grills, then clean the grease sheet and flavouriser bar, pushing any excess grease into the funnel and catch.
Remove the grease sheet, unscrew and remove the funnel.
Clean the heat diffuser before removing it as well.
Remove the burn pot and empty out any ash and pellet debris, before giving it a wipe down and reinstalling.
Scrape out the cookbox itself, pushing all grease and debris into the drip pan, remove and replace the disposable drip pan with a new one.
Reinstall the internal parts in the reverse order.
How do I clean the Hopper and Auger Tube?
As a rule of thumb, if you smoke regularly, empty and clean every 2 weeks. If you smoke less often, clean every 4 weeks:
Shutdown the Weber, wait for it to completely cool and unplug.
Place a bucket under the pellet chute and pull the release handle to empty.
Remove the EZ Access Maintenance Panel by unscrewing the two screws.
Disconnect the wire clip from the motor, remove the mounting bracket screws, then slide and twist the auger out from the auger tube.
Clear out any debris or residual pellets from the auger and tube.
Reassemble, reconnect, and close everything back up.
How do I keep it looking like new?
Stainless steel surfaces: Wipe down with a non-abrasive stainless-steel cleaner and a soft cloth.
Porcelain-enamel, painted, and plastic parts: Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
