Built tough for larger saltwater species, the Thunnus CI4 range fields four sizes from 4000 to 12000, which covers every inshore and light-medium offshore application imaginable. After freespooling a bait down the water column to where the target species lurks, the Baitrunner function is engaged. The spool begins to spin as a fish is fooled into taking your offering under near zero tension; you turn the handle, engage the main drag system hooked up!

Best baitrunner/spinning reel on the market. I have the 4000 and now the 6000. They are so good and weigh so little that I use them as my spinning reels for lure casting as well. The drag is super smooth even when fighting large fish with muliple fast runs for 20 minutes, no sticking from heat expansion at all. I definitely recommend these reels. I'm saving for the 8000 at the moment.
