This quality Japanese squid jig features a patented thermo-storage cloth called the 'warm jacket'. The cloth reacts to sunlight or artificial light, and will maintain its temperature for longer than traditional cloths.
The Yamashita jig has one of the thinnest noses available on any of their jigs, giving it the advantage of minimising water resistance when ‘hopped’. More action for less effort. The up-and-down motion of the jig attracts squid, but it is the ever-important pause that often gets them to bite. So don’t forget to pause occasionally!
Try using the squid jig in place of a hook on a paternoster rig. Lower down to about a metre off the bottom and then set the rod in the rod holder and wait for the squid to grab hold. The 3.0 weight will not only target squid in shallow water, but to depths up to 7 and 8 metres. If you are after a jig that will put a few live bait in the well or for a feed on the BBQ, this is the one.
