About the artist

Athena with her original painting
Athena Nangala Granites was born in 1994 in Alice Springs Hospital, the closest hospital to Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290km from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. She has lived most of her life in Yuendumu. Athena applied her unique style to create the painting that inspired this Wanderer beach range. The image above is of Athena with the original painting captures the feeling of the breaking waves frothing onto the sandy shore on a bright sunny day.
