Rated 4 out of 5 by from Power hungry kettle This unit will tax your accessory circuit.....it pulls 16 amps & may well burn out the wiring before blowing the fuse. Three quarters full it will take about 25 minutes to boil and flatten your battery if not trecharged with four boils. Well made but overpriced. Cheaper units of 500ml capacity can be found for half the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Basically needs more battery power than the fridge We bought this item, and it was swiftly returned, we have a dual battery system with enough power to run our dometic fridge for up to 5 days, yet even with a upgrade in fuses still drained the battery system way more than the fridge and took over 8 minutes to boil. Went back to the billie

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waaaay too slow.... I’ve had this sitting in my shed now for 2 years or more trying to find a reason not to just throw it out. I’ve hooked it up to our car battery for over 20 mins for some like warm water, as well as a deep cycle battery through our boat for the same result. Sorry BCF, I love your store, but definitely not this product...

By the time it finishes boiling it will be time for afternoon tea. Stick to boiling water with gas or a Billy on the fire. This product is rubbish and I will be boxing this item back up and demanding a refund

I put one cup of water in the kettle, turned it on checked it every 15 minutes, and the result was totally useless, we left it on for 1.5 hours and gave up ! I had it plugged into the cargo area of our car where you normally plug in a car fridge - 120 watts / 12 volts !
