Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality clothing for the tropics I have a few pairs of these and use them in Papua New Guinea and the Solomons. These areas are hot and humid and Columbia gear helps keep me cool, keeps the sun off me, easy to clean, light to pack and gives some protection from Mosquitos. The ability to zip off the legs and convert to shorts makes them very versatile. I have tried other brands and they have not lasted. The explore 360 brand is cheaper but kept splitting in the seams. I will be adding some new Columbia shirts soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pants - legs too long Bought these a few weeks ago for a fishing trip to cairns. Pants are good overall and should last like my other Columbia gear. The only negative is that the pant legs are too long. I’m 182cm. They can’t be taken up either, because they have zips at the bottom.

The Cascade Explorer pants are a ripper should have gotten rid of the other pants years ago water/sand doesn't get caught up in the legs like he old pants extremely happy beach fisher
