Developed for deepwater reef fishing, the 6 inch Squid Vicious imitates a squid head or small octopus. In the water the legs pulsate at the slowest of speeds, allowing the Squid Vicious to be fished as a static bait, the slower the better.
Try working with gentle lifts of the rod tip. This will be enough to impart its deadly action. As it falls through the water column, the waving arms will do their thing. Many of the hits will come as it drops.
This is such a life-like lure that you could also try rigging it on a paternoster rig when fishing deep offshore reefs. Snapper, kingfish, fingermark, mulloway and large flathead will take a liking to the Squid Vicious.
