The Yamaha EF2400iS is super quiet, weighs only 32kg and produces a maximum of 2400 Watts of power. It is an inverter generator with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control allowing you to run sensitive equipment including products with built-in micro-computers or micro-computer controlled power tools. It features an OHV engine with cast iron cylinder liner making it efficient, reliable and powerful, providing long life and excellent heat dissipation. Multipole alternator features lightweight compact design with great power output to weight ratio. The unit also has TwinTech capability, allowing you to hook up two EF2400iS’s for 4600 Watts of power. A built-in DC outlet outputs 8 Amp / 12 Volt for charging batteries and the cable is included. Noise Block sound reduction system, including super-quiet muffler with USFS-approved spark arrestor, eliminates errant sparks and allows the generator to operate at only 53 dBA at ¼ throttle.
Other features include die-cast aluminium frame for high strength with light weight, controls all situated on one panel for ease of access, a fuel gauge to make it simple to check fuel levels and rubber vibration isolation feet for increased smooth operation and further noise reduction. Smart throttle varies engine speed based on load to improve fuel economy, the auto-decompression system reduces decompression for easier starting and gasoline petcock helps prevent carburettor contamination during storage.
There are also some smart electronics in place to protect the generator including the OilWatch warning system designed to prevent engine damage and the electrical overload breaker designed to prevent generator damage in case of overload, both of which provide peace of mind.
