The Yamaha EF2000iS Generator is lightweight, compact and extremely quiet and will provide clean, safe power to your campsite, remote job application or backup power at home. It is the lightest in its class weighing in at only 20kg, is easy to store and transport at only 2.2 cubic feet and features a Noise Block sound reduction system including newly designed air filter and super-quiet muffler with USFS-approved spark arrestor, you’ll hardly know it’s running. It utilizes an inverter system with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), providing pure power that allows you to operate products with built-in microcomputers or microcomputer-controlled electric tools. It also has TwinTech capability, allowing you to hook up two EF2000iS’s for 3600 Watts of power. A built-in DC outlet outputs 8 Amp / 12 Volt for charging batteries and the cable is included.
This generator features an OHV engine with cast iron cylinder liner and is efficient, reliable, powerful to provide a long life and has excellent heat dissipation. In fact it received an Extended Engine Emission Life Rating which is the longest engine emission rating issued by the EPA.
Other features include controls all situated on one panel for ease of access, a fuel gauge to make it simple to check fuel levels and rubber vibration isolation feet for increased smooth operation and further noise reduction. Smart Throttle varies engine speed based on load to improve fuel
economy, the auto-decompression system reduces decompression for easier starting and auto warm up increases engine speed during cold starts to handle high power demand appliances right away.
There are also some smart electronics in place to protect the generator including the OilWatch warning system designed to prevent engine damage and the electrical overload breaker designed to prevent generator damage in case of overload, both of which provide peace of mind.
