Cobb Cooker

The Cobb is an award winning BBQ cooker that is extremely popular because of its simplicity and versatility. It was originally designed as a cooking system for people in rural areas of South Africa who did not have access to electricity, with the aim of creating a safer cooking environment. The first prototype was a ceramic device that was fuelled by dry corn cobs, giving the unit its name. The Cobb has now evolved into a compact, portable, eco-friendly and extremely efficient cooking option.

The Cobb cooks using BBQ beads and is extremely inexpensive to use, cooking a roast and vegetables for 4 – 6 people, in about the same time as a standard oven, on just 8 – 9 BBQ Beads.

There are a range of accessories available, including a frying dish and pizza/frying pan, that allow the Cobb to BBQ, bake, roast, smoke, fry, stir fry or simply cook in a pot placed on the Cobb.
